In 1976, I founded and have owned the Education Division of Don Paul Shearer, Inc., a private real estate school licensed by the Pa. Real Estate Commission and an approved provider for the Pa. Board of Certified Real Estate Appraisers.

Accordingly, for the past 41 years, I have provided courses to thousands of appraisers, real estate brokers and salespersons along with writing and publishing numerous booklets and course materials and producing audio and video tapes.

However, for several reasons, I have decided to close my school and will not be offering any further courses effective December 31, 2017.

I have had the privilege of making many longtime and permanent friends of many students over these years and have seen many students go on to success both as real estate appraisers, brokers, and salespersons. I have always tried to make myself available to my students anytime they needed help on any real estate or other issues and will continue to do.

I will continue as an active real estate appraiser and broker as I have for the past 48 years and will continue to be a voice on issues affecting the real estate profession, investment in and ownership of real property, and even political and social issues as I deem appropriate.

Finally, I thank my past students for their faith and trust in me as a real estate instructor and for the appraisal and consulting client referrals that so many have and continue to send to me.
